Engineered for Remah International Group (RIG Group), a premier corporate enterprise in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Smart ID Check-In Platform modernizes corporate front-desk visitor management. Combining physical Omnikey 3121 smart card hardware, a custom local Windows bridge daemon, an AI-powered Emirates ID dual-sided vision extraction pipeline, and an enterprise React dashboard — enabling instant, zero-error visitor check-ins and automated security alerts.
We approached the project from the perspective of both the receptionist under high morning visitor traffic and the enterprise security team. The frontend was engineered as a lightning-fast React portal where placing an Emirates ID on the reader automatically extracts all biographical data in seconds. A custom Windows system tray bridge daemon (RIG-Bridge-Manager.exe) was developed to bridge physical PCSC USB hardware directly with the web browser over a secure local port, while Hostinger cloud databases and Google Chat webhooks handle instant audit logging and notifications.

To streamline visitor operations at their corporate headquarters and enforce strict facility access protocols, they engaged Technobrid to design and deliver a custom, automated Smart ID Check-In and visitor management platform.
Navigating the Complexities
Traditional front-desk visitor registration suffered from manual form-filling delays, misspelled names and ID numbers, and untracked paper visitor passes. Technically, integrating physical USB smart card readers (Omnikey 3121) with a modern web application presented major browser security sandboxing barriers. Furthermore, the client required a dual verification pathway: reading the physical chip when available, or instantly scanning front-and-back photographic images of Emirates IDs with strict AI consistency matching and zero tolerance for mismatched identity documents.
Strategic Execution
Technobrid engineered a complete end-to-end hardware-to-cloud ecosystem: 1) Developed a native Windows bridge client (RIG-Bridge) running on the receptionist's PC that communicates directly with the Omnikey card reader and feeds real-time card events to the browser. 2) Built an automated n8n AI vision workflow using GPT-4o to parse dual-sided ID photos with strict error verification. 3) Designed an intuitive, high-clarity React dashboard featuring real-time check-in logs, auto-filling visit details, department filtering, and visitor badge generation. 4) Connected instant Google Chat webhooks to alert administrators whenever visitors enter the facility.
